Green Guatemala Coffee – full-bodied and balanced

TGuatemala, situated in Central America, boasts active volcanoes and tropical climate zones. The region enjoys a mild climate year-round, with daytime temperatures ranging from 18 to 28 degrees Celsius at elevations spanning 1,300 to 1,800 meters above sea level—an ideal setting for cultivating Arabica plantations.

The coffee culture in Guatemala has deep historical roots, dating back to the 18th century. Presently, approximately 250,000 hectares are dedicated to coffee plantations. In the elevated areas, reaching up to 2000 meters above sea level, a pronounced rainy season prevails from May to October.

This climatic condition is instrumental in imparting the distinctive spicy aromas and smoky nuances found in Guatemala coffee. The primary harvest for coffee cherries takes place from August to April, while green coffee beans are typically shipped between November and June.

Characterized by a full-bodied aroma with subtle smoky undertones, green Guatemala coffee owes its unique qualities to the protracted rainy season and the presence of special volcanic soils.

Green Guatemala coffee can be stored for up to two years with proper packaging, making it a recommended choice for preservation.
